and that's the spirit that the runners of last sunday's singapore standard chartered marathon demonstrated ever so strongly. doesn't it just get to you? :D haha.

members of team YELLOW went down to help, 'cause 4 Special Olympics athletes took part in the full 42km marathon! :D 2 others participated in a 10km marathon. mannn, i salute you who runs ! :D longd is seriously no joke. the longest distance i ever did was 8km and that was like hell as it was :/ HAHA.

cedar representatives (that's us! :D), volunteers from ACS(I) and of course, SO people, all joined together to form 3 separate teams. KALLANG, LAGOON & FORTROAD<3! fortroad's divided into 2 further sub-groups. all we had to do was wait for the SO athletes to run past with their coaches, and then offer them 100plus, bananas, chocolates, salonpas air spray and powergel :D and to encourage them on! :D

BUDDY and i were in the same FORTROAD group! :D :D yay. haha. in the end all of us got so bored waiting for the SO athletes - 'cause there are only 4 anyway - we started cheering everyone that was running :D some people were so friendly! they would say thanks, high5 us and did the thumbs up sign :D one guy even konichiwa-ed BUDDY and i xD

after all SO athletes passed our station, we all assembled at the endpoint - padang. UGH, BUDDY and i got so pissed waiting for that shuttle bus 'cause there was a jam! what was supposed to be a 15minute wait turned into almost an hour -.- screw. and the journey was so long, poor BUDDY who only had 3 hours of sleep the night before fell asleep, on my shoulder xD HAHA.

and this is random: balmnail has serious problems with her words xD HAHAHA. she and RAHH were trying to memorise this line that goes, "a smile is a gravity-defying act that flexes your muscles and exercises your personal charm." and in the end, it got so morphed, it became "a smile is a gravity-defying act that mexes your fluscles and exercises your muscler charm." what the hell? xD xD i love balmnail for that. it's the best entertainment one can get :D

i didn't get a chance to blog yesterday, 'cause i was out of the house almost the whole day, running errands and sort. my dad took leave from work :D and so the first thing i did in the morning was to go down to ICA building and make my IC. heh, i've dragged that for quite long now :/ considering my birthday is earlier than BUDDY's and she already got hers?! it kept slipping my mind, sorry D: haha. my IC photo is so ugly ): mannn.

then we went for lunch at serangoon gardens cafe cartel. GUESS WHO I SAW! it was BRENDA TER, working as a cafe cartel staff xD and she remembers me! HAHA :D :D unbelievable. ohwell, heard cafe cartel pays quite good; she must be needing the cash :/ my older brother had salmon pasta or something. and he found something cool in it :D

ta-da! it's a heart-shaped capsicum! :D tsk.

after lunch i went to amk park :D haha, just sat around.. till it started raining -.- and my poor deuter bag - which i love so much :D - got wet! mannn ): and so did my poor __. HAHA :D

my younger brother went for his first drums lesson at ps yamaha, while my older brother was at volleyball training. i followed my dad around ps, then my mom came. we went shopping! xD bought christmas decorations at barangbarang. they are cute little figurines! mannn, totally should've taken photos of 'em :/ heh. afterwhich we stopped by G2000. my parents had stuff to buy. and i didn't expect myself to be finding stuff there as well :D

misscomputer uploaded the photos, and sent them to me last night! :D so now i can post about friday's nike store opening at vivo. HAHA. and the marathon shall have to wait then. ugh, so lag :/ tsk.

i decided to go, after lifen passed me the message from p. haha, but it was kind of weird to go there alone, and not after training. so i asked misscomputer to come along! :D when we reached, look who's there..

when the ball lit up, carl was asked to autograph
this big board that showed one of him during one of
his long jump events. misscomputer got a good shot
again! but we're always at the back in between 2
people -.- HAHA.

guess who else we saw? it's POH SENG SONG :D
singapore sprinter! haha, and he came in the same
shirt as carl lewis -.- coincidence? heh.

i was too tired to post yesterday ): plus i don't have the photos yet either. ugh. but yesterday was a blast at vivo :D i thought the whole CAT would be there. sadly, i went there with misscomputer - i asked her along - only to find 3 other members + p. lingyu, cheryl and nada turned up. glad i wore CAT tee, 'cause both lingyu and cheryl came in that straight after training. wonder where the rest went to? questioned lingyu and she said they went off to "play". ahwell. and it's also because i turned up in CAT tee that now i'm being hounded :/ bummer, if i'm clear i don't have anything to fear. so there.

thankfully misscomputer brought her camera :D 'cause i didn't bring one. wow, and i thought one photo would be that difficult to get. in the end, we took so many photos.. and so did the camera/videomen there. so much so that OUR PICTURE APPEARED IN TODAY'S STRAITS TIMES! :D :D page S33. that is off the chain! haha. the four of us even managed to speak to the man himself. mannn, it's carl lewis in the flesh <3 all of us got high after getting his autograph. tsk, i can't wait for misscomputer to upload the photos! :D

then, there was this shoe-designing thing. so one of the organisers approached misscomputer and i, asking one of us to sit next to carl lewis and design our own shoe. wow, if we win the competition, the shoe will be CUSTOM MADE for us! :D so i went. and yes, designed the shoe. main colour code? YELLOW & BLUE, cedar colours :D :D

but well, honestly my favourite runner is still australia's cathy freeman :D here's how she looks like, in case you don't know. haha. it's a pity i haven't got the chance to meet her yet.

after all the hype, i went to boon keng station at 5. we had the briefing for standard chartered singapore marathon that's taking place tomorrow :D YELLOW is helping the Special Olympics runners. yay, that's going to be fun. haha, found out we're working with ACS(I) as well. mhmm. BUDDY and i are in the same group! :D go FORT ROAD. tsk. when the briefing ended, we went to the playground and saw emo people on the swing. bummer ): we couldn't get a chance on it then. we were quite high till talk of some ahlian thing brought spirits down and for a moment there was this uneasy silence. ahh, so we decided to go home.

there's yf pre-camp special today at gardens. i can't wait :D haha, it's going to be fun. then dinner with cindy :D
