She's always on top, but the pain it won't stop.

The event today was a blast :D Was heartwarming to see the Cedarians so full of verve and exuberance; that passion for the school shown through every action. The 8 star runners completed all 50 rounds, within 4 hours. Incredible feat.

And it got us all so high. Spirit, atmosphere was akin to that of Nationals. I savoured it, every moment of it. Time spent was meaningful. Amidst all the buzz and randomshiz, managed to make time for people. Most of which I haven't been connected to in a long time. And am glad to know we're still going strong; I love you ♥

Class suspenders=coolio. Even our form wore it. Pity didn't take a photo with her in it! But she took many photos of us and I think that's like, yay :D Can't wait 'til we get the photos; will be bugging her for it, for all you peoples' sakes. Hah.

Some photos (the rest are with friends!):

Me, Deborah, Wp in suspenders!

Deborah is such a sweetheart, honest ♥

Wow, it actually forms an "N"! :O

Accompanied Wp and Yun Min back to their primary school. Am so odd, 'cause I did the exact same thing last year. All thanks to the fact that Rosyth, ever since a new P came into office, has this weird rule about locking the ex-students out. Freaking security guards got all 'em orders from the P. Great, and the reason is that we'll "disrupt lessons". Thus, I'm now an ex-student of Pei Chun. Hah, sure.

Afterwhich, joined my dad and my brother to go down to Comex, that IT Show. Was okay, boring even. My legs felt so sore but it was a good opportunity to start making ridiculous comments at people in my head. Maybe, after all, I went there to look at people. Tsk, all those salesgirls in skimpy clothing, NOT HOT: FASHION CRISIS. Honestly.

Guess who I met! This is a total coincidence. 'Cause just prior to our meet, I'd contacted him to ask if he were going back to Rosyth. Answer: No, dental appointment. And the next thing I know, he's done with dental and we meet at City Hall. Hah, apparently heading to Comex too. Awesome. Parted; me to meet dad and brother, him to meet mother. At Comex, we met again. This opportunity was too good to miss, I just had to camwhore :D (Seriously, how often do these things happen!)

But you look so stoned and I just look spastic D:

It's just not the same anymore.

Walked around town in my suspenders the whole day. Think I rock your house down, baby.

Thursday, August 30, 2007 | 10:28 PM

Today won't last forever, but tomorrow's fading fast.

Today's paper was Art. And thus no one but the handful of 'em in 4A were involved. But 4P and 4O were called back for extra Physics lessons, thanks to MtYau-the-genius who's all like, "my colleagues didn't think of this brilliant idea 'til I told them but by then it was too late for them to arrange anything". Omg, seriously -.-

Lessons were supposed to start at 7am so I ended up in school at 0630h, as with every other school day. But apparently he didn't come to open the doors of the TMP 'til late. And when everything finally started, it was 8. Felt like we all came to attend "Cedar's School of Physics"; 4 hardcore hours, straight.

After the lessons, stayed back to help with the class identity for tomorrow's event. Teachers' Day Celebrations aside, there's a big hooha going on regarding "50 Laps @ Cedar" :D In commemoration of our 50th Anniversary, and to remind all Cedarians of the strong sporting culture that is ingrained in the school, we've to run around the school, symbolically. How, fun.

We're having suspenders for our class identity! Similar to those Oleander cheerleaders had for Annual T&F Meet :D But, obviously without the skirt.

Retarded, over the uniform :D

"Yay, I'm drawing all 'em lines on a Magic Carpet, baby!"

Cel's like, "WHAAAAT, I'M NOT GETTING PAID?!"

And the lao ban niangs say "Hell no!" :D

Went PP Tau Huey Shop with PAIL and BFF thereafter. Was raining badly and I got all wet again ): Nowadays it rains so much and I'm always caught without a brolly. One of these days, am going to fall ill. But what good is a brolly, when you have one like hers? (SEE BELOW.)

Go ahead, laugh :D

Am slacking my results off, damn it. Can't wait for next week.

Was speaking to the Recess Gang yesterday. Think all our parents are going crazy. They're freaking out over us mugging so hard, they're turning strangely nice.

Incident #1 - Phone
Dad: Hey Elyssa, you want a new phone, right?
Me: Huh? Oh, actually it's okay la. *Gives the why-are-you-asking-this look*
Dad: Next week I'll go buy you the CyberShot. I've brought forward your plan.
Me: *Tries not to look too excited*

Incident #2 - Movie
Dad: (Over dinner) Hey, are y'all free next week to catch a movie?
My older brother and I: Uhhh, we're having Prelims..
Dad: It's okay la, just one day.

Okay, absolutely weird. He thinks I'm stressed, I bet. Well, I freaking am. But the CyberShot is mine for the taking :D

Smuggerland ♥ Population: One.

There to my heart was the blood applied.

Rest.

Oh and it sure does, a whole lot.

And it's hard to believe, that even my first ever - and current - worldly love has betrayed me. The paper was set in such a way that, I believe, even if we know all 473 pages of the textbook, it'd be a challenge to sit for. There's no doubt; am much more prepared than I was 3 months ago. That failure during Mids, was well-deserved. But this time 'round.. Guess I've put in so much, too much, to flunk. Wtf, and I am confident the setting of the paper saw Beyonce in no part: it's beyond even her.

I want an examination. One that tests me on what I've learnt. And I'm still waiting, because I'm ready for all that idealistic shit.

That aside, it's saturation. So much so that I actually wasted the whole day. My brain has had enough of taking in all that pressure, just knowing people out there are prolly mugging SS now; or on to Physics even, considering they might just have completed it already times over. Went to PS, settled at KFC with PAIL.

Squirty is like, "rawr!" :D

Had this sudden craving for Honey Stars (thanks to Imp and Shu Ying) so we made a trip to the supermarket to get a packet. Apparently now they're promoting Spiderman 3! So here's what we call Squirty. And he really squirts water. How cute.

Yesterday's HMT Paper was prolly the best ever; thus far. There was this 应 用 文 question that was a 公 函 about building facilities and ammenities for the elderly in neighbourhoods, residential estates, housing flats, void decks etc. And today I realised that the construction at my HUDC Block is finally done. And voila!

There are now these handrails and slopes (with gentler gradient) :D So I guess it's a 热 门 话 题 after all? Hah. And to think we all held with hopes in our hearts the topic of 环 保. Certainly not, when they've made us do 环 保 like for 7 compositions in total! Ugh.

Study Buddy is Love, now ♥

And Baby, though your eyes be weary and the burden heavy, hold on. Ne'er would you be alone, as long as I'm here.

"My soul finds rest in God alone, my salvation comes from Him. He is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I will not be shaken." - Psalm 64:1-2

Monday, August 27, 2007 | 6:10 AM

I'm counting the steps to the door of your heart.

I'm afraid, but ready.
It is here, so let the battle begin.

"For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." - Isaiah 41:13

& not by my strength alone; let Your Will be done.

Wednesday, August 22, 2007 | 10:55 PM

I ask no other sunshine than the sunshine of His face.

Today was one of those good days; fulfilling, on task and just "right".

School ended at 1245h and the Sec 4s evacuated the compounds almost immediately. What a sight it was, and the adrenaline that built as I brisk-walked out PP with Wp was enough to break this feeble frame. Headed home, took a shower and it was off to Bishan library for ultimate hardcore mugging.

Met up with Agnes and Eunice. Yeh, we had a hell lot of fun together in one box. Haha, the best part of all was prolly the times when Eunice and I couldn't stop laughing (at Agnes) due to this bunch of Cat High guys (of which I only know one and the rest are Agnes' friends). Kangkang is an idiot. A cute emo weird idiot D:

Fallacy.

5 days; SMUGCORE♥

Work has become a distraction, albeit ironic. Will not, shall not, think. Chemistry my love, here I come.

Tuesday, August 21, 2007 | 10:38 PM

And one day we'll get nostalgic for disaster.

Don't have much time to blog; promised myself I'd get down to trying real hard. But guess I don't see it materializing, just as yet. Damn it.

Mood's been so down recently. Credit goes to Prelims that is taking place in 6 days' time. And some teachers (of whom I refuse to mention) just have the gift of the gab - their 5 minute speech is enough to blow you away with all that stress and pressure. My brain cells are colliding against the walls of my skull, moving at such fast speeds and in random motion so much so that they are cause for this splitting headache I suffered yesterday.

On a lighter note, we finally received our National Day souvenir from school. How late is this, really. And it is really the coolest thing on earth. Promise. On the way out PP decided to camwhore with it and this is what you get:

We look hot, I know D:

It's so aunty, I bet we all know who came up with it! (Hint: She's like, really fond of the word "bullshit") Well, I'd say the Pink is off the hook, so yeh.

The camwhoring didn't stop even 'til the bus stop, and amidst stares from the juniors, I still exclaimed - more than once - about how "so damn cool" we looked.

We're trendsetters, baby.

Prelims is looming and I've got to study. Have resolved to become a secret mugger D: Everyone in Singapore is in mugging mania mode. But I'm different, because I'm a SMUGGER ♥

I am.

And so you say,
"Just turn around and walk out the door;
you're not welcomed anymore."

Sunday, August 19, 2007 | 11:50 PM

He never returned that call.

What a fun-filled week it has been. Eventful, to say the least. And a roller coaster of emotions. Ugh.

Monday was International Left Handers' Day, so Deborah was over the moon. And that made wp and I both decide to try writing with our left hands, all in the spirit. Was fun, and I think I do it pretty good. Hah.

Tuesday was BYOF Day for the recess gang. We all went high eating. I brought oranges, Deborah grapes, wp chicken biscuits, AuntyTunny Vitagen and Base Hello Panda. Liu Kun and Kelly convenient forgot. Tsk. Felt like a picnic, and all the juniors were staring. Haha, what's wrong. Pity couldn't take photos, or they would've been up here. And in case you're wondering, BYOF stands for:
B ring
Y our
O wn
F ood
:D

Wednesday was sucky. Absolutely horrible. We'd 3 tests/TAs in a row. Last 2 lessons for SS and Chemistry, then zuowen after school. Saturation at its peak, really. AuntyTunny was moaning, haha. Seriously, think we're all getting so stressed up. Prelims coming, OSPs piling, time slipping away.. Damn, still have got a lot to cover.

Thursday was boring. The lessons were practically useless and imho, it was the most pon-able day, ever. Teachers were either on ML or somewhere overseas, getting more PRC Scholars so that the juniors will feel the stress in future. Seriously the PRCs are psychotic; their grades are insane ): After school we'd the official Handover Ceremony. Felt like a burden was taken off, but I guess somehow or another there's a connection that will never leave. As Evelyn once told me, and so shall I tell Lay Eng:
"Write On, Count On." ♥

Oh, and here's an incident worth mentioning. As Jogging period drew nearer the skies began to darken, and all the Upper Sec pupils had this secret hope in their hearts :D Slight attention deviated from the lesson to out the windows. And then all of a sudden came this resounding rendition of "Rain, rain, go away". Oh for goodness' sake, it was the freakin' juniors trying to pull off some shit. What the hell, it totally disrupted lessons. And with Prelims so near, the Sec 4s were clearly pissed. NBS was in my class and Yvonne went: "Can you please get down there and scold them!" We all rushed out the class to look down, and so did the classes opposite. Ugh, it was repeated at least 3 times. In the end they did get reprimanded. Good for them D:

And in the evening I was so pissed. Like wtf, I've never felt so much frustration before. But food therapy totally takes that away, even better than retail. Guaranteed. Guess where I went.

YES, NEW YORK NEW YORK :D

And we were served Candy Floss while in queue. Okay, I look spastic.

Friday was English 'O' Level Oral. Think it went by okay, though I was the last of all candidates that day. At the end it was just me and the two examiners in the whole MPH. The fact that they'd turned off the air conditioner made things worse; the air was so still! The examiners are funny. One nice Malay lady and the other is this Indian/Chinese/Malay guy who kept sneezing and yawning. Hah. Am such a genius, 'cause I guessed the right topic! More like, I always get the topic I want; last year during Express Chinese 'O' Level Oral I'd hoped so hard for ou xiang to come out and it did :D This time for English it was on the elderly! Yes, grandparents, to be exact. Hah, I pwn all. BFF says I'm psychic and now she wants me to spot the themes for SS. Tsk.

Today was one of the most amusing. In the morning was supposed to meet M to study. But ended up with JAW in Bishan library. Saw so many little kids (boys, especially) that I got real excited. Then at tuition, we had a hell of a great time laughing. Physics lesson was stupid, 'cause the guys in my tuition class are absolutely gay. They're from Bishan Park Sec (oh, don't remind me of that incident last year) and there's this guy called Jack that's the worse of them all. He loves to violate the other two, leaning on them and touching them everywhere. Omg it was so sick D:

讲 悄 悄 话!

Aww, they're huddling.

And someone like you makes it easy to live without someone else. Am here, always. It's just that it seems the only way is to turn bitter; but I can't. Why be alone? The voice inside my head tells me otherwise.

Monday, August 13, 2007 | 11:37 PM

They come to build a wall between us but we know they won't win.

School is so uninteresting. Balmnail and I decided this morning in the PR that we'd be better off not attending school. 'Cause all they've been doing recently is either to stuff us with OSPs, or to make us listen to endless droning as they go through questions. Useless, save for Physics lectures in which we're still learning about LDRs, Thermistors and such.

After school today, accompanied Inez to satisfy her chicken rice cravings. Haha, and Yenhui came along with us. Was funny, as I spoke to them over lunch about Bushbear and Macs.

Then headed down to Cine to meet Arty and Isis. Tried mugging Amath; think I love Amath so much more than freaking retarded Emath. Ugh. Anyway, they played Bingo! Oh my goodness how retarded. And I've thus concluded Arty is this sick pervert who loves commenting on people's butts. Haha, but she said I've a hot butt (and kept promoting it to Isis) so guess I've got nothing against her (: Plus, she can't do French braids for nuts.

At 1600h we left Cine for RJC. Hah, managed to drag Arty along to the HC-RI soccer match. Was pretty slow a game, with the score settled by Penalties. But well, finally I got to watch him play. And that's kind of satisfying. Jang kept me company the whole while, after Arty left. Aww.

Left for home real late. Took 156 with MES. CRIB was once again witnessed on the bus. Crazy people, how can they ever fail! Not that I would believe, for sure. Got into trouble 'cause I stayed so late for the match. My dad was.. Damn. Anyway, pity I didn't manage to even stay to say "Hi".

& I guess you've moved on; am happy for you, Baby. Real happy.

Thursday, August 09, 2007 | 9:17 PM

Get me out of my mind, get you out of those clothes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!

& I'm MADE IN SINGAPORE.

Haven't been updating in ages, 'cause the computer's on password. Anyway, from where I left off the previous post: there's been EXCO dunch (dinner+lunch) at Swensens', more showering in school, supposed jamming during recess in the Music Studio, calling in Subway for lunch (over the canteen food)... My life cannot get any more boring. Hah.

Yesterday's National Day Celebrations in school turned out okay. Rather fun, actually. Thank God for the Parade, 'cause the teachers decided to keep it! To think we all thought last year's would be the last of Parades in Cedar.

"Zai", eh! :D

Highlight of the day was Community Singing, as always. Spent my last National Day in Cedar on stage, with the rest of the EXCO, leading the Cedarians on. And it felt overwhelming, as we were rocking the house down. "Where I Belong" was the best song; we got everyone up on their feet and jumping up down, and later even waving their hands just like in the rock concerts you attend. Balloons were floating everywhere, even bursting occasionally. What a sight it was; pity I didn't manage to take photos/a video.

National Day I/Cs 2006 (Sin, Abi, Me) cannot help but recall all the hardwork we put in for last year's Celebrations. And this year, the juniors have done a great job. Tammy, Dione, Lay Eng, Audrie and all PCs: If you're reading this, congratulations ♥!

After the Celebrations, EXCO all separated, most going with classmates and friends. Wp and I were the only ones again. Aye, it's always us, BFF! No wonder Vice thinks we're together. Yes, I am not straight, thank you. Haha. We'd agreed earlier to mug after the Celebrations, anyway. Total no-lifers ): But hey, for VJ!

At PS, it was like all the schools had decided to meet up or something. RI, RGS, RJ, SAS, SAJC, SCGS, CHIJs, VJ, ACJC, NJC, St. Gabriel's.. And of course, Cedar! Met AuntyTunny, Debbie and ConHwa at Carls' Jr. We were stalking them :D Ended up going to Bishan together. Mugged at the library 'til 1745h. And we had 2 surprise visits: 1 from Tp and the other from Zac. Haha, now Debbie and I are all crazy over CRIB!

Tomorrow EXCO is going out with Ms Lizah to Bakerzin :D Can't wait.

PHOTOS :D

Love ♥

Yay, hearts!

Sec 4 Prefect Councillors! Though not everyone's present ):

Just the 7 of us - all I need ♥

Club 369!

Jennifer, Vicky, Sin, Arica, Me.

Seniors! :D

Dhilshad, Head Student Councillor in VJ :D

Sin, now Ex-Head Prefect Councillor :D

& nobody does it quite like you do; why do you have to be so damn good?

Wednesday, August 01, 2007 | 3:45 AM

'Cause I don't shine if you don't shine.

The time has come, for a new dawn.

So I reckon today's going to be a Big Day; both for those of us stepping down and all of them who are stepping up. Once again, it's odd to think how one year has passed so quickly, and now, it's time for the juniors to take over the reins, hopefully then, leading the school well.

Am going to miss this all, real bad. Especially being in the EXCO. Because there's just so much I can be thankful for; this decision will never be a regret. And working on events, working with the teachers, will be another thing I'll miss so dear. Late nights up together, drawing up proposals, heightening school spirit, upholding the discipline, me on Minutes, the walk out PP, Macs & tau huey.. I love all of you, my dearest EXCO members

Have got HMT supplementary right after Investiture, though. Damn, what a spoiler. It's so anti-climax and I really wonder what's going to happen to EXCO reunion.

Nonetheless, it's going to be a great day (I hope). And I know I love Math :D

It may not have been a great deal to you, but it was to me. Sure was.
